Ken Parks, APR, CEO
- Pam Bales founded PEAK PR and has
operated the confidential two-person consultancy for 16 years
with a strong focus in community development PR and communications. Annual
client billings from the two-person consultancy have topped
one million dollars and average about $450,000. Pam
previously was marketing director, Junior Achievement – Rocky
Mountain, Inc. and was a founding member of the Cherry Creek
Arts Festival. Her special event work has earned her
national praise.
- Ken Parks, her partner and husband,
in 1985 was named an accredited member of the Public Relations
Society of America; he is one of the senior practitioners
of PR in Colorado community brand development. Previously,
Ken was VP/PR of the 4,000-member Denver Metro Chamber of
Commerce and Metro Denver Economic Development Council. Ken
also was a new home features editor for the Rocky Mountain
News; energy and resource efficient homebuilding columnist
for The Denver Post and editor of Home Builder magazine and
The Denver Relocation Guide. Ken is a nationally consulted
expert in transit-oriented development and member of the
Urban Land Institute.
- Both Ken and Pam have served on numerous task forces, committees
and boards of directors, including Denver Christian Schools,
The Griffith Center, Metro Denver Gives, Home Builders Foundation,
Home Builders Association, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Business
Hall of Fame and many others.
- Beyond their day-to-day dealings
with clients, Ken and Pam also are expert facilitators. CBS Anchor Tom Sullivan
in the mid-1990s heralded them as the best facilitation team
in America. Since
then they have facilitated scores of groups, including large-scale
public-private partnerships, members of the news media, company
executives and even individuals.
