The Alameda Gateway,
ALAMEDA GATEWAY
COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

Situation: Colorado’s fourth largest city is reinventing itself, creating its first downtown, Belmar and a variety of adjoining districts, including the soon-to-be-redeveloped Denver Federal Center.

Task: PEAK PR assisted the Alameda Gateway Community Assocation (AGCA), the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District and various departments of the City in the evolution of the corridor.

Action: Since 2000, PEAK PR has assisted in the facilitation of a strategic process to establish the Alameda Corridor and its adjacent neighborhoods as the spine of world-class corridor.  Our results have been broad based and include communications coaching, community outreach and public-private partnerships to fund a community newspaper, which we research, write and produce for the association.

Results: We have achieved a variety of results for Alameda Gateway, as well as the City of Lakewood and other companion organizations.  About 20,000 community newspapers are distributed quarterly and the organization is viewed as one of the key civic groups in the state’s fourth largest city.
