Situation: The City of Westminster is focusing on the redevelopment of its South Westminster districts, with an initial emphasis in the vicinity of 73rd and Lowell. Task: Build community support for the revitalization of the area, starting with residential convergence and leading up to the rehabilitation of a 150-acre transit oriented development. Action: We have administered community surveys and a community branding process on behalf of the City. We also are developing a community newspaper and lending support to the creation of a business improvement association. Results: Our
initial results are stimulating residential redevelopment interest
in
the area and pulling together a community leadership base.
